RESEARCH COMMERCIALIZATION
THE FOUNDRY
In the Foundry, a STEM business development lab, Principal Investigators employ organization research to experiment with creating businesses around science and technology breakthroughs. Our focus spans three areas:
A.I. & Computing |
Energy & Transportation |
Agriculture, Waste, & Biodiversity |
OUR ETHICS
LONGEVITY IN ACTION
"This isn't about making money for ourselves or idle investors. This is about building strong business organizations around scientific discoveries so that those discoveries actually improve life on earth. For important scientific discoveries, we will stick with it as long as it takes."
Peter Goggins, Director of Commercialization
OUR PROCESS
CHANGING THE FUTURE MEANS
ORGANIZING MORE EFFECTIVELY
STEM VENTURES
Our lab brings formal management expertise to bear on the research commercialization process. We partner with scientists and entrepreneurs engaged in important science and technology commercialization, help them acquire funding, build out supply chains, achieve initial sales, and provide formal management coaching in order to spur the commercialization of their novel products and services.

OUR LOCATION
AT UCONN'S FRONT DOOR FOR INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIP
The eureka moment is only 1% of the journey toward global impact. Moving scientific breakthroughs from the pages of academic journals and out into the world requires effective organizational engineering around the innovation. The Foundry uses the latest organizational science to aid researchers across a variety of fields in commercializing their breakthroughs.
Daigle Labs has offices at the UConn Innovation Partnership Building as well as in the Boucher Management & Entrepreneurship Department at The UConn School of Business. The lab is a multinational research center co-founded by Dr. Ryan Coles (Professor, UConn), Dr. Carl Lejuez (Provost, Stony Brook U.), and Kyle Daigle (COO, GitHub).
